To change the description of a network computer in a Win2000 environment, just do the following:

  1. Right-click on "My Computer."
  2. Select "Manage."
  3. Right-click on "Computer Management(Local)" and click "Properties."
  4. Click on "Network Identification."
  5. Enter the desired computer description.
