When pursuing a Microsoft certification fast-track, the best test to attempt is the SQL 2000 administration exam. This is an excellent choice for a multitude of reasons:
  1. It provides many 'carry-over' concepts to understanding Active Directory.
  2. It is an elective for MCSE
  3. It is an elective for MCSA
  4. It is a core for MSDBA
  5. It is an elective for solution developer
After successfully completing your MCSE, and including the SQL as an elective, you will only require one more exam to qualify for the DBA title! This backoffice product is in high use, high demand and is probably a better choice than ISA for the job market. The exam is difficult but very logical -- no 'trick' questions.

Good Luck!
