Managing NT4 printer with Win2k Pro

Here's a handy workaround to help you maintain your NT4 printer with a Windows 2000 Pro client.

If you are using NT 4.0 server to manage your printer and you have Windows 2000 Professional as a client, you lose...

the printer connection when you log off.

The Microsoft solution is to re-install each time you logon. The following batch file placed in your Startup folder is a more viable solution as it re-connects the printer each time you logon without any user intervention.

net use "NTSERVER" "Printer Name" Username /user:password

Example:
net use wo281117proom225 guest /user:guest
