Remove unwanted items from Start Menu of NT4 workstation or server

Remove unwanted items, like My Documents or My Favorites from your Start Menu with these simple registry tweaks.

If you find that "My Documents" and "My Favorites" are somewhat annoying, because either you don't like the shortcuts there, or they take up some unwanted desktop space, you can now get rid of them.

First launch "REGEDT32" and locate the following keys:

To Hide the Favorites Menu:
HKEY_CURRENTUSERSoftwareMicrosoft WindowsCurrent Version Policies Explorer
add Reg_Binary key NoFavoritesMenu=01 00 00 00

To Hide the Documents Menu:
HKEY_CURRENTUSERSoftwareMicrosoft WindowsCurrent Version Policies Explorer
add Reg_Binary key NoRecentDocsMenu=01 00 00 00

To Hide the Logoff item:
HKEY_CURRENTUSERSoftwareMicrosoft WindowsCurrent Version Policies Explorer
add Reg_Binary key NoLogOff=01 00 00 00

I have been able to use these setting on custom system policies.
