Use IP addressing instead of name resolution

Use IP addressing to identify other workstations and pick up email servers.

If you are using Windows XP or Office XP and are having problems identifying other workstations on the domain or picking up email servers, instead of using Netbios, or name resolution, try using the IP addresses of the machines. Microsoft has reconfigured its products to use IP addressing, rather than name resolution.
