Can I create a dynamic distribution list in Exchange 2003?

If you want to be able to create an Exchange 2003 dynamic distribution list based on a SQL Server table, you're out of luck. But, as SearchExchange.com expert David Sengupta explains, there is an alternative available.

Is it possible to create a dynamic distribution list based on values in a SQL Server table using Exchange 2003? How would you automate management of an ever-changing group of contacts whom you'd like to email as a group occasionally?
No, this is not possible with Exchange Server. I recommend you have a look at Microsoft Identity Integration Server.
