I am using an automation tool that does not support mapped drives. The tool is Sagent Automation Studio, and we purchased it from Opalis. I was wondering if there was a way to make a mapped drive appear to a directory on a physical disk.
Unfortunately, I'm unaware of a native or third-party tool that will allow the mapping of network shares to local folders. This would be an extension of the mapped points capability, but it is limited to local drives only. I even tried to figure out a way to use a mapped drive letter with a mount point, but the dialog boxes to make the configuration are just not there.
I would contact Opalis and request a product change. Maybe the company already has a workaround available.
