Clients face delays when viewing e-mails through Outlook

We have clients using Outlook 2002 running on Windows XP. Our Exchange server runs on Windows 2003. A few of our clients face delays whenever they try viewing their e-mails through Outlook. In particular, one of the users set his Outlook with the Auto Preview function which even takes more time. Any ideas what I can do?
One common reason for serious delays with Outlook clients connecting to Exchange is internal DNS settings. Make sure the DNS settings for that particular workstation are set correctly -- i.e., if you are using DHCP, make sure that the computer is picking up the correct DNS server for your organization and is not resolving to an external DNS server.
