Exchange 5.5 installation problems

I am attempting to install Exchange 5.5 on Windows Server 2003 but it displays the message: Exchange Server 5.5 is not supported by this version of Windows and I cannot continue. I know from reading articles that this can be done however I realize that there are some difficulties with Outlook Web Access (OWA) running on Server 2003. Do you have any suggestions?
Unfortunately the dialog box that popped up during your attempted installation is correct. Installing Exchange 5.5 Server on a Windows 2003 operating system is not supported. This generally means that Microsoft has not tested this scenario and that there are numerous reasons this will not work. As such I cannot recommend that you do this. Microsoft has a great white paper entitled "Exchange Server Compatibility with Windows Server Operating Systems" available for download here if you're interested in reading more about this.
