Exchange Information Store won't start after install

Hi, Scott. I'm trying to install a fresh setup of Exchange 2000 on a clean machine joining an existing AD domain. The installation went smoothly. The MS Exchange information store does not start. Event ID is 5000.
If I recall correctly, that event indicates that there was some error initializing the information store. The event itself should have an error code in the details. You can translate this error code by researching it online at Microsoft's support page or at Microsoft TechNet.

There are many causes for this event, including permission errors, an incorrect service account (note that Exchange 2000, unlike its predecessors, runs under the LocalSystem account and not a user account) and others.

Hi. My outlook syncs with my iPhone but not my calendar. I can't figure out why.
