Well, you're going to need some server-side mailbox/SMTP server that uses HTTP, POP3 and/or IMAP4 for client access. It does not have to be Exchange 2000, most certainly. Once you have the server-side server, you can configure your address books, distribution lists and other client settings to facilitate internal messaging with Outlook Express as the e-mail client.
