Outlook Web Access works fine for the domain where the Exchange Server service is located -- let's say Domain A. However, Domain B users are unable to access their mailboxes through Outlook Web Access. Administrators of Domain B can access Outlook Web Access on Domain A just fine.
Users of Domain B can access Exchange Server mail through Microsoft Outlook, but not Outlook Web Access. They get the error message: "Page can not be displayed. Internal server error." What can we do for our Domain B users?
Try these troubleshooting tips to resolve the problem:
- Ping the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) for the server. Do you get a reply?
- Tracert the FQDN or IP address for the server. Is it able to find it?
- On the IIS server, check if users on Domain B have permission to access OWA.
- Check the DNS records for the Exchange server on Domain B.
