Old tasks are reactivating every morning

I am running Exchange 2000 with Outlook 2000. We have a strange situation: every morning any old tasks that had been completed have their status reset. Also, we have some old reminders from year 2002 that also come up as needing to be dealt with. If we dismiss them, they come back again the next morning. Is there some task or something running that resets these? Where should I be looking to sort this one out?
You might try starting Outlook using the /CleanReminders command line startup switch to see if that resolves the problem for you. As the name of the switch implies, it is used to clean and regenerate reminders. This should reset things back to normal behavior for you. For documentation on this and other Outlook switches, see MSKB 197180, Additional command-line switches.
