Do you have any applications other than Exchange installed? If so when you use a third-party program that uses Collaborative Data Objects (CDO) 1.21 to access a mailbox on a computer that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, the third-party program may stop responding. Your upgrade may be triggering it. See KB 823343.
