Setting up automatic accepts for meeting requests

Here are step-by-step instructions for setting up automatic accepts for meeting requests.

Is there a way to have a meeting request automatically appear on an attendee's calendar without that user first seeing the meeting request? When I send the meeting request, I want it to show up as tentative until the attendee can act upon it. If this does not happen, there is an increased risk of duplicates.
There is a way to instruct Outlook to automatically accept meeting requests:
  1. Go to Tools -> Options and click on Calendar options.
  2. Go to Advanced options and click Resource scheduling.
  3. Select 'Automatically accept meeting requests and process cancellations.'

You may also select 'Automatically decline conflicting meeting requests' and 'Automatically decline recurring meeting requests.'
