Using Windows 2000 Professional backup on a Windows BackOffice NT server

Can I install Windows 2000 Professional backup on a Windows BackOffice NT server. I need the powerful scheduling and ability to backup to tape devices.
It looks as if the answer is no. The new NTBACKUP makes function calls to a variety of system DLLs that have changed considerably from NT. NT does not support many of the function calls.
