Microsoft 365 plan connects front-line workers to cloud

Visual Editor: Online Design

Even employees without a dedicated workstation need to get plugged into the cloud.

The Microsoft 365 F1 bundle combines Office 365, Windows 10 and Enterprise Mobility + Security tools into a single license, which is assigned to a user rather than a device. This version of the Microsoft 365 plan caters to front-line workers -- those employees without a desk or regular workstation but who interact with customers on a daily basis. Microsoft tailors this release for users who work in shifts, such as cashiers and truck drivers.

Microsoft has agreements with Acer, Fujitsu, HP and Lenovo to enroll in the Windows AutoPilot program, which enables those hardware companies to ship Windows 10 S devices with preinstalled custom device configurations and apps. Prices start at $275.

In what situations do you see a place for the Microsoft 365 F1 plan in your environment?

It would seem feasible for vendors such as "Waitr" to implement this addition into their company so as to better serve restaurants such as Throwbacks Restaurant.
