To quickly add rows in Excel sheets, highlight the row(s) where you want to add an insert and press "SHIFT CTRL +." To quickly delete one or more rows, highlight the row(s) and press "CTRL -." This works great in most versions of Excel.

Just tested - works like a charm! I find using keyboard shortcuts still a handy way for fast and effective operation, and this one sure goes into my hotlist!
The thing I find with shortcuts is you need to use them often for you to remember them. If you are using Excel maybe once a week or every other week, you may to refer to a cheat sheet of hot-keys.
The same can be done by highlighting the rows then right-click and select insert or delete.
